30 in 30 Memory Works Card Challenge: Day 13

Hello All! It’s lucky 13 today! Be sure to hop by the Memory Works Blog to see the beautiful card created by the fantastically talented Kelly Holbrook. Kelly chose a sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping that is wonderfully simple and elegant. For more inspiration, be sure to visit Kelly at Creating Chaos.

So here’s my take:

The red patterned paper is from the Rejoice Collection by Bo Bunny and the green pattern is from Christmas Cottage by Teresa Collins. The green strip is cut at 3 x 5 1/2 inches and the red paper is cut at 2 x 5 1/2 inches. The embellishment is cut using the Artiste Cricut cartridge by Close To My Heart and stamped with a sentiment from the CTMH October Stamp of The Month using Cranberry Exclusive ink. I popped that up using dimensional adhesive and then added the silver pennants using Silver Shimmer Trim, also by CTMH (think glittered washi tape only thicker). I stamped the sentiment (from the Snow Flurries stamps set [retired] by CTMH) in silver ink on a banner made from Colonial White cardstock, and added a little silver stickles for extra bling. I then added a layer stamped in Olive Exclusive ink using a stamp from CTMH‘s Avonlea Workshop On The Go kit. The final touch was a pearl brad from the Christmas Cottage Collection by Teresa Collins.

Here’s a close-up:

Have a wonderful day, and don’t forget to go out and make something beautiful!
