30 in 30 Memory Works Card Challenge: Day 8

Hey All! I’m back with Day 8 of the Memory Works challenge. Christine is back with another great challenge sketch by Retro Sketches. You can see the challenge on the Memory Works Blog, and you definitely want to hop over to Christine’s Creative Therapy for more awesome inspiration. (That girl can color, my friends! She’s my Copic go-to for inspiration!)

Here’s my take on the challenge:

No, it’s NOT Teresa Collins! 😉 (See, I DO use other lines!) This is a super fun line by Lily Bee Designs called Christmas Cheer. I love the bright papers and funky patterns. I used the 6×6 pad for my card. Is that santa cute or what?! (The 12×12 paper would make a fantastic gift wrap!) The “Merry Christmas” border strip is from the same paper pad. I used White Daisy card stock and a retired Creative Memories shape maker to make the snowflakes, and added a little bling to them from my stash. I then added some Honeydew bakers twine from The Twinery for a little texture and interest. The sentiment is from the Close To My Heart October Stamp of The Month. (That’s a useful little set if you can get your hands on it!) I stamped it in Cranberry Exclusive ink. The red on blue reminded me of the 3-D things my kids have, so I did a second generation, off-set stamp to make it look a little more like a 3-D sentiment. 😀 Just having a little fun! 😀

Here’s a close-up of the embellishments:

Hope you’re inspired to create some beautiful things today!

Cheers!

Love it! That is the Santa of my childhood! The red and blue is so cheerful.
